RUBIDIUM SI Module:
The Alpermann+Velte Rubidium series "SI" module is an automatic switchover unit for two incoming IRIG-B signals. The SI module compares and contrasts two incoming Time Codes (IRIG-B) for indescribable differences, in real-time. The comparison of IRIG-Bs can also be checked with another reference time input (e.g. GPS/DCF signal, if available). The SI module is a must for all Time Code system setups where failure proof IRIG-B Time Code is a requirement.
With two of our Rubidium master Time Code generator modules "RUB GI", the SI allows for an easy plug and play setup of a redundant system. Our SI was designed with the GI modules in/outputs in mind, but of course the SI switchover module can also switch two incoming IRIG-Bs from other 3rd party (non-Rubidium series) Time Code devices.
In addition to switching two IRIG-Bs the SI module also distributes our special in-house designed RS 485 (e.g. from our GI module), which allows for completely redundant Time, Timer and Time Code systems.
